New management since I been there great Ethiopian food and service was nice too
Delicious food. Friendly people, both staff and locals.. Good prices. I was very welcomed, though a different ethnicity. Nice collection of Ethiopian artifacts. I can see why Ethiopian food is the rage! Seemed very authentic food:. I had a lamb dish with a side. Live far away but want to return! Wow! (Visited two Saturdays ago.)
Ok Oll foods
Very good customer service. Food is tasty just the way we like it. I recomend this restaurant.
Service is great the food was clean and delicious. the price was reasonable.l Will recommend you to check this Resturant.
Excellent customer service with Ethiopian indigenous habsha cloths and food items, spices delicious raw meat(kurte),kitfo. I will recomend you to visits this wonderful market.
Food is okay. Dishes were dirty. Canned greens served. Injera was cold. Poured the wine from a dirty wine glass (bold red lipstick with crud all over it-nothing close to clean) into a clean glass after a complaint and we had to tell them to pour new wine into the clean glass.
Helpful, polite staff, very reasonable prices and awesome food! What more can you ask for?
Gosh this has to be my all time favorite spot. Keep in mind I order for pick-up. When I have dined in, the service was really good as well.
Amazing food, spectacular customer service, wonderful venue, good music and my #1 Habesha Restaurant in D.C.
Great service and food.
I will find everything from Ethiopia
Nice selection of Ethiopian foods and domestic,/imported beers
I don't know if this still has the restaurant attached, but I have been to the restaurant twice (December 2012 and spring of 2013) and both times the food has been superb. My classmate who is Ethiopian recommended it as her favorite restaurant so the first time we went it was for my birthday. It was my husband's first time trying Ethiopian cuisine and we both loved it. The honey wine was also delicious. The second time I went was with several classmates and it was again the best food. Some of them had not had Ethiopian food before and everyone liked it. I would highly recommend this place above some of the more popular well-frequented locations. This is more of an authentic experience. And FYI, injera as a leftover is quite good with fried eggs, onions, and peppers the next morning!
Very friendly and great Tibbs. I meet great people.they have all you can eat (lunch) weekdays. Serve beer wine and sprite with fair price. Love it. I will go to this place again. The manager (I think he is the owner) great guy.go & check it out. U will love it.
Nice service and reasonable price too.
Great selection of organic foods and drinks.
Awesome place to eat.. food is outstanding.
In comparison to other Ethiopian restaurants I've tried, this was OK. The staff is friendly but a little inattentive. The food was good and there is a good selection. I was hoping to find a sampler plate but didn't see one.
We got carry out, and it was fabulous! We argued which was best, Derek Tibs, Yebeg Alicha, Kitfo (special with SPICY cheese) or Lamb Tibs. It was all great. Plus nice people and good prices. This is my go to place
Nile restaurant, as much as I liked the food I was also delighted about the parking availability. Great service and reasonable price of drinks and foods.
Absolutely delicious food! And on weekdays they have a buffet.
Hi it is nice place to eat good food good service to spend time with family and friends. I liked the place
Were here Saturday January 13, 2018 with the family around 7pm on a semi-cold night. Had reserved and they had saved us the best table in the restaurant. There were mostly Ethiopian men at the bar and at a couple of tables. Typical Ethiopian men they were well-mannered minding their own business. The Ethiopian manager was friendly and helpful, explained the menu and took our order. Two or three other Ethiopian women serving the food were also very friendly. The food was good and authentic and the price was right. Have not been here for the buffet they serve at lunch but can only imagine it is good and at a good price. As for the parking on a Saturday night it is easy on the north side of Eastern Avenue close to the intersection with Georgia Avenue. If you are adventurous, like authentic Ethiopian food, and don't mind being the only non-Ethiopian in the restaurant I highly recommend this restaurant on a Saturday night.
Super Bowl Soccer lovers should find it small but Cozy...
Except for the delays to process orders, it's a cool place to dine.
Great food and a low key atmosphere. The food is authentic (another place nearby is heavily Westernized). Ethiopian taxi drivers frequent the restaurant, furthering the case for its authenticity.
Very good service and love the pictures of Ethiopia and proud Ethiopians (e.g. the King of Ethiopia and H. Gebrselassie) on the walls. Great experience for a Sunday evening tète-à-tète. We had the place to ourselves at around 5 pm and really enjoyed ourselves.
